Growing up on the West Coast, Kaiya was born and raised in the small town of Sherwood, Oregon. At the age of 20, she moved away from her family and friends to live in Boise, Idaho for a spell. After spending about two years there, she made the crazy decision to sell all her belongings and move across the country to Nashville, TN where she resides now. In her Tennessee journey, she wound up going back to school at Austin Peay State University to get her BFA in Musical Theater. Although she loves performing, Kaiya has the heart for teaching. She has worked with kids and youth for over 12 years and bringing accessible and inspiring arts to young ages is her passion in life.

Aside from the times she is singing and dancing, Kaiya lives for the Fall season. The colors, the cozy, and most of all the spooks. She loves to read a good book or watch a spooky show and will find any excuse to dress up for a theme! She feels extremely grateful for growing up with a very logical dad and an extremely creative mom as she has strengths in both facets. She takes after her dad with her leadership skills, attention to detail, communication, and determination but also finds herself extremely artsy with painting, crafting, and sewing. If it’s something creative, she most surely can figure it out! Although her personality may appear introverted and composed, she is a real goober once she is comfortable!
